Team History
Another of the "Origional Four," The Douche Quarter (1/4) Dozen,
like so many other teams, is also named after its first team captain and PWL vet Freddie. Simply beacuse Freddie R Douche
adn there are three players per team, the team was named the Douche 1/4 Dozen. Sparing all the jokes in regards to
Freddie, he was unpleased with the team name and in 2007 requested the change to the Blue Barracudas,
after the popular Nickelodeon series legends of the Hidden Temple, which featured a team called the Blue Barracudas.
In 2006 and 2007, the team included the Fred and the up-and-coming talents of Rob, and due to a great coup during the 2007
draft, the Barracudas acquired Durr through a trade with the Boarder Jumpers, exposing in the
draft a hole, which would be one of the causes that would lead to its eventual shutdwon.
Needless to say and despite all the controversy that might have surrounded
the team, they were able to score moderate success, becoming the first non-Helmstetter-led team to win a championship in 2006,
but the Barracudas would teader around .500 for the next few seasons, making several trips to championships resulting
in reunner-up finishes. Not until the 2009 season would the Barracudas, sans Rob, be able to capture another tourny chamionship
in the form of Lloyd-a-palooza. Although their championship banner lacks a multitude of wins, the Blue Barracudas
have been one of the most consistant, competitive, and stable teams in the PWL, and depending on Fred's status, it looks
to continue into the future.
